Cutie mushrooms aren't suppose to be here!

Today, Jeffrey and I went for a hike through the hills behind the park, behind my house. On the way back from our little exercise sesh, we found these growing on the grass in the park. I've seen park-mushrooms before, always brown, always disgusting, but these were adorable! I had to run and get my camera before a dog ate/urinated on them!

Up their skirts :O
Can't wait to see more as the colder seasons come!

Candy Corn Cupcakes!

A few weeks ago, I was inspired after seeing some awesome Halloween cupcakes by my friend Claire. Since then, I've been so excited to make some of my own. I decided to play with color and my favorite Halloween candy, candy corn, to make these. I'll give some instruction of what I did, just in case you want to make some - they're so easy!!

First I mixed together a white (boxed, I know, I know, I'm not hip and organic) cake mix. Then I separated the batter in 3 parts. I used food coloring to create yellow and orange portions.

Next, I layered the colors in the cupcake liners. The batter was thick enough that I could get good division between the colors without them mixing.

Here they are after baking for 12-15 minutes!

Once they cool down, throw some frosting and candy corn on them and om nom!

They were so delicious and cute! I brought them to my best friend, Lauren, for her birthday. She completely downed them... Sort of like how Jeffrey, Andrew, and I did that night. Lauren only got 5 - sorry girl!

I was foolish for letting my assistant/boyfriend Jeffrey use the rest of the batter to make his own color. I, of course, knew he'd combine some sort of gray color after he asked me earlier, "How do you make orange? Green and red?" It was so cute, I had to capture the awfulness.

Gross, I made him take them home.
Hope you enjoyed. Now I'm off - sewing for eternity in preparation for the craft fair!

My Etsy Shop: Jenny Sport

My blogspot URL inverted (apparently Jenny's Port was already taken by an inactive German girl, scheisse)! Anyhoo, here, I make patchworked cases, sprinkled jewelry (literally, sprinkles), custom artwork, the occasional hair accessory, and knitted/crocheted goodies. Yes, I dabble in a lot of things, and as a former marketing student, I know I should specialize, but I can't help it, I love it all! The picture below is a sample of what I'm selling at the moment. Click the photo and you'll be directed to the site.
As you can see it's colorful and eclectic - my new favorite thing to obsess over. Stop by and have a look.

I also have some close friends on that lil website.
NessaKei -  feathered jewelry, crocheted accessories beanies
PinkFlamingo2924 - fun earrings, necklaces, and hair clips

We all work in the same fabric store and all love to craft! In November, we are participating in our first craft fair. Excited!

Spaghetti Madness

Spaghetti Madness is the title of the phenomenal masterpiece below. For our anniversary, I bought my assistant/boyfriend, Jeffrey, an extremely large canvas to have fun on. This was the result. We had a great time mixing acrylic paints with water and slamming them with a sponge onto the canvas. It's a really easy technic and look how awesome it came out!

To spare any indoor mess, we took it outside and went buck-wild. My backyard is a park, so while we were experimenting a man walking his dog yelled, "I'd pay 1000 bucks for that!"

Good day, pretty cool product.
First post completed. Hello, I'm Jennifer and I like to make a mess. Toodles.
